What to Do with Republicans?

It is infuriating that the Republican Party is wasting the time of the House of Representatives by its cynical and futile attempts to repeal or eviscerate “Obamacare.” That the GOP is increasingly dominated by sanctimonious demagogues and ignorant ideologues inspired me to create the logo below:

    The late Senator Barry Goldwater was asked about the then emerging dominance of the Republican Party by the so-called Evangelical Right. He said, "Every conservative Republican should line up to kick Jerry Falwell in the ass." No one has ever proved him wrong.

    The party has become the secular arm of a religious fanatic movement. That sort of association is a significant danger to freedom and democracy.

    We live in interesting times.
